Can't get my E0 - E1 to work
I have received 2 death 2130 drivers, so i am trying to run my SKR 1.3 bort like..

#define X_DRIVER_TYPE TMC2130_STANDALONE
#define Y_DRIVER_TYPE TMC2130_STANDALONE
#define Z_DRIVER_TYPE A4988
#define E0_DRIVER_TYPE A4988

XYZ is working
If i swap the Z cable with E cable extruder stepper motor runs fine.
I have also tried switching the drivers around but it's still the same socket that is not working E0. Drivers and cabels is fine.

Is it a jumper settings issue ?
Can i fix it in Marlin and where?

Please Please help me

Did you set a hot end temperature? E will not move unless the hot end is hot...

how did you test this? sending gcode? clicking on extrude button somewhere?

Everything a fresh install. Downloaded Marlin just now after deleting all others. Still the same error. Also got it when changing nothing. Same error but at megaatmega2560. Really getting annoying. Fresh Git and LLVM also. Any help would be appreciated. Almost ready to try Klipper or any other firmware.

Did you mount the stepper driver in the right direction? You can try to use E1 maybe, if E1 works you immediately know the board is defective. Also, did you swap the cable while the board was turned on? Or swap drivers while the board was on?

Permission denied is your Operating system doing something weird

Do you have an overly aggressive virus checker perhaps?

Planner_Bezier - Speed along the path

Hi all,
here is a simple question about the G5 experimental feature (Bezièr cubic spline interpretation).

The feature actually implement the De Casteljau's algorithm, and If I have understood correctly this lead to an non-constant speed along the curved path.
So, am I right about that?

Thank you so much!

Re: Planner_Bezier - Speed along the path

... don't think so - if it's made with "polygonisation", then the result is simply a chain of line segments with constant speed, as it's normally made for arcs and circles ...

E0 to E1 do i haf to remap all the pins to test it, or is there a easy way ?
And what is the correct settings for the jumpers under TMC2130 in STANDALONE Mode, i don't have any jumpers in at all now ?
Always power off ;-)

MKS SGen L V1.0

Just wondering what the motherboard definition would be for this.

I have flashed other boards in the past that have had documented or existing board defs in marlin (mks base, anet, ramps etc) but I am not sure if the the mks sgen is still regarded as ramps 1.4 pin compatible.

Thank you.

Problem with auto fan

I am trying to restore a Monoprice Mini using instructions from Instructables replacing the board with a mega board and RAMPS 1.4 board. I've had difficulties with the original version of Marlin 1.1.9 and am now using Arduino 1.8.10 and bugfix1.1.

Here are the instructions:

The high power D9 pin on the Ramps board seems to be intended for a parts fan blowing on the printed part and not an extruder fan in their default setup. If you have a setup with an extruder fan like the stock hotend or the E3d v6 like I have you'll want to change this a little.

In pins_RAMPS.h:
Ln. 168, change FAN_PIN to -1 to disable it.

In Configuration_adv.h:
Ln. 220 #define E0_AUTO_FAN_PIN 9 instead of -1

This will turn on the fan on D9 when the temperature of the hotend gets to 50c and will turn off when it falls below 50c.

Problem I am having is that in pins_RAMPS.h there appears to be new code and I cannot figure out what to do with the first instruction. This is the new code in pins_RAMPS.h

#ifndef FAN_PIN
#if ENABLED(IS_RAMPS_EFB) || ENABLED(IS_RAMPS_EFF) // Hotend, Fan, Bed or Hotend, Fan, Fan
#define FAN_PIN RAMPS_D9_PIN
#elif ENABLED(IS_RAMPS_EEF) || ENABLED(IS_RAMPS_SF) // Hotend, Hotend, Fan or Spindle, Fan
#define FAN_PIN RAMPS_D8_PIN
#elif ENABLED(IS_RAMPS_EEB) // Hotend, Hotend, Bed
#define FAN_PIN 4 // IO pin. Buffer needed
#else // Non-specific are "EFB" (i.e., "EFBF" or "EFBE")
#define FAN_PIN RAMPS_D9_PIN
#endif
#endif

If I do nothing to change the above code and following the second instruction modifying Configuration_Adv it triggers the following error during compilation.

#if HAS_AUTO_FAN
#if HAS_FAN0
#if E0_AUTO_FAN_PIN == FAN_PIN
#error "You cannot set E0_AUTO_FAN_PIN equal to FAN_PIN."

If I ignore the instructions it compiles but the fan does not come on at 50 deg C.

Help with Marlin 2.0.X and EZABL

I bought an MKS SGEN L 32 bit board to put Marlin 2.0.X on for my ender 3 pro. It was an upgrade as well as the TFT28 with WIFI. I am having a horrible time with my EZABL sensor. I am not sure if it is the firmware or the hardware. The board is an LPC1768 chip. ( have a MKS GEN L ATMEGA on its way.) I am having a horrible time getting the EZABL to activate Z stop. it's currently plugged into Z_MIN plug on the sense and ground pins only. The original melzi board has a 2 pin connector. My switches are normally-closed for my end stops. If I home the Z axis and stick my finger under my EZABL the light comes on but does not stop the Z axis from crashing into my bed. I checked my wiring with a multimeter and there are no shorts or breaks in my wiring from EZABL to the board. I'm "ok" with programming Marlin but this is driving me insane. Meanwhile my printer is not usable as everything is hooked to the new board and I don't care to wire it all back to the stock board. I was trying to get on the discord for live help but apparently that's down and facebook is pending approval. Is there anyone that can help with this issue? I tried TH3D firmware but it will not compile to the LPC1768 based board, too many errors...even if I open a fresh config, set board, and compile, there's major errors. I'm using VS code to compile.

The only diagnostic I can provide further is that if the plug is pulled from Z_Min and I short the sense and ground pins when Z is coming down, it does stop. Another error is (and this may be windows) I was able to communicate with the board last night from the computer through a "smoothie" driver on COM 7, but now I cannot communicate with the board. Device manager has it listed now as Serial COM9 and will not accept a driver for it. SO I can't Send M119 to see what is going on as far as the Z_MIN being triggered or not.

I just bought one and I noted it uses the LPC1768 chip, Mine is not working under RAMPS Pin that I know of but I'm having issues too so I may have overlooked that.

I found a pins definition here:

Will give this a go soon and see if it flashes.

Sorry for late reply. Thank you for your comment. I have tried your said before create this topic.
I edited platformio.ino, Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h at the same time and it gave continously LPC1768 error after build some reason. After then i started over and this time i goes step by step and build them. Thereafter it's successfully build and upload. So, that's how i did. Maybe helps another people.

Thanks

I had similar issues and I found in VS code which is what I use I was getting the same errors. I had finally closed all projects, closed VS code, re-opened it and opened a fresh copy of marlin 2.0.x, edited my board in platformio.ino and in Configuration.H where it asks for "motherboard" then hit build and it went right through with no issues 25 seconds. I continued to modify and every change I "built" and no errors. I saw ATOM was being phased out online so I just went straight to VS code instead. Hope that helps.

Wow, thanks. At least I can see pin assignments now, unfortunately, I had tried the E0 line for enabling heat fan to come on above 50 degrees and it just didn't work for some reason. I have a MKS GEN L board coming with the ATMEGA 2560 onboard and I think I am just going to use that and if it works, I'll be sending the MKS SGEN_L board back because this is just a headache for me with the issues I am having, mostly my EZABL not working on Z_MIN or Z_MAX. Banging my head on my desk over here lol. I really don't care to be up until 3am again tonight.
