Finally i done the mod!!!
Thank you very much!
I want to ask you if the custom_status_screen is only available in the bugfix version of Marlin?

can you shared your statusscren.h file code ?

Yes you can animate it

You just create a number of animation frames, status_screen0_bmp[], status_screen1_bmp[], status_screen2_bmp[] etc

and set FAN_ANIM_FRAMES to the number of frames.

the name is misleading... as each image is the entire top row (brand + hotend(s) + heated bed + fan), originally only the fan animated.

look;

Marlin have a fan animation.
But Bed and nozzle animation not.

I think it would be nice.

Marlin tweak for printing all files in the SD card

Hi everybody,

So I am working on a convoyer type XY core 3D printer that uses a Kapton covered belt ( Board: MKS Gen 1.4 based on ATmega 2560) . I need a way to modify the firmware in order to make it possible to print all the G-Codes loaded into the SD card. In other words, after finishing the read and execute process of a file (G-Code), it automatically goes to the next file and does the same until all the files are already been processed.

Thank you.

Problem tb6600 Marlin

Hi, guys I have a problem: I built my 3D printer and I used nema 23 for the X and Y axes and the drivers tb6600. The problem is that the engines seem to lose steps, I do not think the engines are to lose steps but I think they are the drivers to give problems ...
Here are the photos of some prints:

Has anyone had similar problems with these drivers?

Did you set your driver type in configuration.h? [github.com]

This adjusts the stepper driver timings

Marlin settings for TFT?

Hi,
I are many people hooking up a tft screen to the aux1 of a ramps like board. I connected mine but it doesn't light up or function. What should I change to the firmware?

Thanks,

Hugo

presuming your meaning a mks TFT, yes its very common

you say ramps like..... this worries me..

On a real ramps you have to enable external power on the TFT, the ramps has insufficient power on the 5v line.

the TFT uses D0/D1 also known as RX0/TX0 and talks serial, so needs the baud rate of the TFT to match the baud rate of controller.

Thank you so much for answering, I d'not have this code in my marlin but I downloaded the new version (1.1.9) and set it up. Now the problem is even more serious ... these layers shift when the printer climbs layer, so it is sure that the nema do not lose steps ...
Here are some photos and myconfiguration.h

Thanks! I'll go and try the baud rate and serial port.

My RAMPS is powered by 24V and I kept the diode in place, so that also feeds the MEGA. I replaced the voltage regulator with a 7805CV, which should be able to provide 1,5A. I have a TFT3.2, which I think doesn't have the jumper to chose external power. If it really doesn't handle the power I need to cut the wires and feed it separate.

what current do you have set on the tb6600? and what are the specs of your stepper motors? have you matched these?

Since this is printing ok each layer, but suffering from layer shift, its either insufficient current or acceleration to high..

Well, min came with an SBase board, which I fought for a year and now I go back to the trusty RAMPS. If it indeed does not work with the RAMPS, I put the smart controller back on. But my smart controller has so much backlight I cannot see the wording on accept for at an angle. I don't really care which one is on there, as long as I can print from SD or USB stick. The printer is stand alone in the shed.

The TFT does light up now and funcion, I didn't get it to communicate with the RAMPS yet. The 7805 got a little hot but has no cooling body on it yet, nor a fan. I wonder whether the TFT3 is really that different, or whether the power source issue is the reason it cannot work on the standard RAMPS set-up. I haven't given it up, yet, but I just want my printer back to working order ASAP, and I don't like both my screen / SD option seem to fail...

the concern I have is the ramps is a 5v processor, ie all IO lines including the serial ports are 5v

the mks sbase is a 3.3v processor and the IO lines including serial are 3.3v...

so if its not protected sending a 5v signal into a 3,3v line = dead IO line.

Ah, OK. Thanks. I'll start another topic on my LCD smart controller, then.

Smart controller screen unreadable, Marlin setting or bad screen?

Hi,

my new screen, the famous RepRapDiscount Full Graphics Controller, is unreadable unless you check at very specific anlges:

Is it a setting on Marlin I can change to fix this? The potmeter on the bottom of the board doesn't seem to do anything. Please advise.

Cheers,

Hugo

On the Front of LCD there is a Contrast control potentiometer you can see it is blue and white.
Adjust for the best LCD display.
