home built prusa i3 box frame.
Printer was working fine for a few hours. Then, I can't remember the exact order of events,maybe shutting off with extruder raised, but now my printer seems to have created some imaginary Z0 that when I send home command, even if the extruder is below this point, it will raise up and zero at the imaginary Z0. The z endstop is not triggered. The raised imaginary Z0 is there in both repetier host and cura. I have recompiled and reflashed Marlin to Arduino/Ramps and it still goes to this imaginary Z0.
Background: I've been using a printrbot simple V2 (modded) and printrbot play for a few years total, editing g-code and such.
Edit: Solved it for now with a full uninstall/reinstall of both Repetier-host and Cura. :/ I sure wish I knew how/why this happened. Next time I'll hook up a different PC to try and isolate any problem. I hope this helps someone.
