It might seem like it has been enough to "reverse the ribbon cables", but some pins within the ribbon cable sockets may actually be different than than your "old" LCD.
Not all clone manufactures follow the ReprapDiscount standard pin placement exactly in the ribbon cable. And you needing to reverse the cable, seems to indicate that they, for some odd reason, has made some "clever" changes. And now you need to discover what changes they might have made.
is there a guide to how that's done somewhere? (I'm pretty new to programming soI'm not quite sure what to look for...)
